Steve MacKinnon is currently a Senior Vice‑President at Hill + Knowlton Strategies, a communications and public affairs firm, where he is the national practice leader in specialized transactions related to mergers and acquisitions.

Steve also has extensive professional experience in the political arena. He was an advisor to Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin and New Brunswick Premier Frank McKenna. He was also the National Director of the Liberal Party of Canada and the Returning Officer for the Liberal Leadership in 2013. He is regularly invited to various national media forums as a political commentator.

Steve is proficient in both of Canada’s official languages and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Université de Moncton and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s University. He has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).

Steve is a contributor to charitable works to benefit literacy and remains involved in his community. Steve and his wife, Janelle, live in Gatineau with their three children.
